Shelley Kuipers to Guide Next Phase of Cambrian House Growth
CALGARY, April 7, 2009 – Founded as a crowdsourcing community to tap the power of crowds and uncover innovative business ideas for investment, Cambrian House has evolved over three years to become a leading provider of crowdsourcing technology for enterprise. Marking the shift from the initial commercialization of its Chaordix™ crowdsourcing platform in 2008 to full market expansion, President Shelley Kuipers is taking on an expanded role to become both President and CEO.
Shelley joined Cambrian House as President in February 2007 and has worked alongside Founder, Michael Sikorsky, to mature the company and maintain its rank as a crowdsourcing thought leader. With a track record of successful startups, from Merak Projects which was acquired by Schlumberger in 1999 through to Stormworks which was acquired in 2002 by Branham 300 company Solium Capital, Shelley has a reputation as a trusted business leader adept at financing, operations and service delivery, product distribution and strategic relationships. She is also a founding partner of Adventure Capital which invests in promising tech startups.
Founder and original CEO Michael Sikorsky remains a director on the Cambrian House Board. Shelley will join the Company’s Board this summer.
Cambrian House has enhanced its Chaordix crowdsourcing technology in advance of a major market expansion which will include launch of a new version, new professional services, new direct and indirect sales channels, and establishing a small number of strategic partnerships.
