People – An introduction to some of us
We help enterprises to draw upon their communities to better perform.
Chaordix is a product developed by the people of Cambrian House. Below are profiles of the members of that team that direct the success of Chaordix.
Leadership
Shelley Kuipers – President & CEO
Shelley became President of Cambrian House in 2007 after getting to know the company as a Director on its Board. Cambrian House focuses on developing technology ventures that emerged from its own crowdsourced discoveries. Shelley champions Cambrian House’s flagship product Chaordix - a technology platform that enables organizations to harness the wisdom, participation and commercial potential of online crowds for business purposes. Shelley is also co-founder and partner in Adventure Capital, a specialized venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology companies, and co-founder and partner in Material Insight a consultancy of growth agents that help to grow tech startups.
Shelley came to focus on technology after starting her career in the petroleum sector. Her first startup was Merak Projects, a provider of valuation and management software for the petroleum industry. She joined Merak in 1990 and professionalized their consulting and support services and recruited 60 per cent of the company’s 250 people - key assets in the valuation that led to its acquisition by Schlumberger in 1999. In 2000, Shelley co-founded Stormworks - a software development and online marketing firm. The company began as a member of the Launchworks group - a series of companies established to incubate technology startups. In 2002, Stormworks was acquired by Solium Capital, a publicly-traded financial software company ranked among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 since 2006.
Shelley’s experience has led her to invest in and direct technology ventures on starting up and scaling their businesses through financing, strategy, operations, team performance, product distribution, and strategic relationships.
