Shelley Kuipers, President & CEO

Shelley Kuipers

Shelley is an accomplished and highly successful serial entrepreneur.  Her first startup experience, Merak Projects, provided valuation and management software for the petroleum industry and was acquired by Schlumberger in 1999.  In 2000, she co-founded Stormworks - a software development and online marketing firm, which was acquired by Solium Capital, a publicly-traded financial software company ranked among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50.  She was a also a co-founder and partner in Adventure Capital, an early stage venture capital firm, and co-founder and partner in Material Insight a consultancy of growth agents that help to grow tech startups.

Patrick Audley, VP Technology

Patrick Audly

Patrick leads the Chaordix development team and is an expert in Internet security and privacy technologies, large scale systems and programming and has five patent submissions.    At Group Telecom, Patrick was Manager of PKI development and Senior Ecommerce Architect/Designer where he guided the operations of GT’s PKI.   Patrick has also designed and lead the construction of two high-security PKI vaults, and coordinated a national audit of GT’s networks, systems, and physical security, encompassing over 2000 systems, 1000 networks, 3 autonomous routing domains, and 16 cities.

Randy Corke, VP Business Development

Randy Corke

Randy is a serial entrepreneur who has helped lead numerous startup companies to success.  Most recently, Randy was President and co-founder of RPM Communications, which created innovative mobile blogging/social media services.  Previously he was founding VP of Marketing for SoundBite Communications (IPO 2007), pioneers in interactive voice messaging, and for Quack.com, which launched the world’s first voice portal in March 2000 and was subsequently acquired by America Online later that year.   Randy has also held VP and CMO roles for enterprise software companies including Signiant and Praxis International (acquired by Lakeview Technology).  Randy has been a featured speaker at a number of industry conferences and holds a MBA with Distinction from Cornell University and a BA from Middlebury College.

Claudia Moore, VP Marketing

Claudia Moore

Claudia is a highly skilled technology marketing professional with over 12 years of tech-focused executive experience.    Most recently, Claudia served as President of Material Insight a specialty consulting firm delivering marketing, product management and recruitment services to tech startups. Formerly Vice President, Customer Strategy with Stormworks Ltd. and a senior communications consultant with Parallel Strategies, Claudia also directed marketing for Solium Capital Inc., the financial software company that acquired Stormworks in Spring 2002. During Claudia’s career she has consulted as a brand advisor to organizations including ActiveConversion, Calgary Scientific, Evoco, Entero and brand heavyweights Star Choice Communications and WestJet Airlines.  Claudia holds a BA with Distinction in Political Science from University of Victoria.

Brian Craig, Executive Chair

Brian is a principal at Calgary-based Adventure Capital.  Brian is a former CEO and current Director of publicly traded software company Solium Capital (SUM: TSX.V), an emerging leader in the supply of equity-based compensation solutions for global companies.

Margot Micallef, Director

Margot is founder and President of Oliver Capital Partners Inc., a private equity investment and advisory firm offering corporate and mergers and acquisitions advisory services to public and private companies. She is also an Adjunct Professor in governance and ethics for the MBA Program at the University of Alberta and is on the Faculty of the Directors College, a joint venture between McMaster University and the Conference Board of Canada.  Margot was formerly a Senior Vice-President of Shaw Communications Inc. and a Partner with Russell and Dumoulin (now Fasken Martineau DuMoulin) in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ms. Micallef was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 2002. Founder and President of Oliver Capital Partners Inc.

Allan Mackenzie, Board Advisor

Allan has an exceptional investment and operational track record within the high technology and other industries. Allan is a high profile investor in the Calgary community having led or participated in the financing of several successful start-ups. (Exits include Teamplate, Sonic Mobility, WestJet Airlines, Quack.com, SideStep.) Along with this, Allan has also had the personal experience in building a rapid growth technology company. Allan was the CFO at Quack.com which was sold to AOL for $200 million one year after it was incorporated. Allan is presently a partner in Calgary based Octane Venture Partners.

James Schwinn, Director

James Schwinn is the founder of Aixecar Incorporated, a privately owned company, headquartered in Calgary, that offers advisory, platform development and transaction management services to municipalities, urban planners, financial institutions and socially responsible developers involved in property and community development. James has over 20 years experience in international structured finance and capital markets with particular expertise in the areas of shelter finance, credit and capital structuring and restructuring, securitization and sustainable economics. Prior to moving to Canada in 2005, James co-founded and served as the first chief executive officer of Surrenda-link Mortgage Holdings Limited (“SLMH”), an innovative European structured finance company. In 2009, James advocated at the City of Calgary’s public hearings devoted to Plan-It Calgary in support of this long-term land use and transportation development framework utilizing SMART Growth network principles that has the potential to save the City of Calgary an estimated $11.2 billion over the next 60 years.
