CALGARY, April 3, 2008 – Since 2005, Cambrian House has been recognized as one of the leaders in crowdsourcing, pioneering new uses and web technologies to tap crowds for most-likely to succeed new business and technology ideas. The Company is now seeking to evolve its technology into a crowdsourcing platform for enterprises, under the name Chaordix™.
"We were building tools to tap our own 50,000-member crowd right as crowdsourcing online was hitting its stride," says President Shelley Kuipers. "We learned a lot about how to make community addictive for users and how best to get useful results from open calls for ideas, contests, voting, and observing crowd dialogue. There are idea ranking tools out there, but for an enterprise to make the shift to open innovation, they need a comprehensive crowdsourcing engine and guidance on how to use it. We think we can lead there.”
The mission is to fully develop the Chaordix crowdsourcing platform as a software as a service offering for enterprises. Chaordix would equip large organizations to put a call to their crowd of employees, customers, or other partners to contribute wisdom for cost saving discovery, product innovation, market prediction and other research and development.
In addition to its crowd inspired and tested technology, Chaordix plans to offer experienced stewardship to clients as they adopt crowdsourcing as a new method of productivity and open innovation.
