Hi, I’m Shelley Kuipers, President of Chaordix and one of the several people who will be posting to this blog. Chaordix is all about crowdsourcing, so that’s what we’ll be talking about here – and we look forward to your input.
Here are some of the things we’re planning on covering
- The power of crowds - in case you aren’t convinced already, we’ll showcase short case studies about how crowds can become a tremendous business advantage. We’ll empower you as an Enterprise 2.0 fanatic.
- Best practices - we’ve seen and worked with many companies, so we’ve seen first hand what works, and what doesn’t. Employing crowdsourcing needs proven methods as guidance.
- Worst practices - sometimes you can learn from the mistakes of others!
- Current events - crowdsourcing has become a daily item in the news, and we love to discuss examples of good and bad approaches.
- Crowdsourcing uses – starting from the ground up: what’s the need, and how can the crowd help a business achieve its goals?
- News & Reviews - we’ll share about our favourite books and articles, and post up to the minute links when big news goes down in crowdsourcing.
- Guest Bloggers – look for big names on our blog!
We’d love to get your ideas as well – if there is anything you think we should post about, or that you would like to see here, fire to us at blog@chaordix.com. You might find yourself crowdsourcing some content!
Right now we’re planning on posting a new item at least once a week, so tune back in from time to time and join in the conversation.
Also, we love questions, so if you have one, send it our way – here’s one that we get a lot:
Why “Chaordix?”
Dee Hock, who was the visionary founder of VISA, wrote that businesses would need to balance chaos and order to succeed. He called that concept “chaordic”. Since we think crowdsourcing is the epitome of this philosophy, that led we thought Chaordix was a perfect name.
How do you say “Chaordix?”
Kay-or-dix… now ya know!
And that’s enough introduction from us. Care to introduce yourself? Say hello in the comments.
