WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces 2010-2014

WorldBlu 2014

The WorldBlu List of Most Democratic Workplaces™ 2014 is comprised of 51 organizations from a diversity of industries including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and services, with a combined annual revenue of over $15 billion. These organizations include public, private, non-profit, and educational institutions. They range in size from five to 50,000 employees and are located in the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Netherlands, Denmark, Malaysia, Haiti, New Zealand and Singapore.

An organization makes it onto the WorldBlu List through a survey process their employees complete, which evaluates the overall design of an organization along a fear-based to freedom-centered continuum based on the WorldBlu 10 Principles of Organizational Democracy. Those organizations scoring 3.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale become WorldBlu certified democratic workplaces.

48 Hours in the Valley 2013


48hrs in the Valley is the C100′s flagship mentorship program put on in conjunction with the Canadian Consulate of San Francisco and Palo Alto. Twice a year C100 invites 20 of Canada’s most promising startups to Silicon Valley for two days of mentorship, workshops, investor meetings, strategic partner visits and networking.

TechWomen Canada 2013


The TechWomen Canada program aims to support Canadian women in the technology sector and connect them to their peers in Silicon Valley. This outreach initiative will expose Canadian start-ups to the impact and high growth culture of the Valley, which they can use to enhance the growth of their technology companies.

The Digital Alberta Awards, formerly known as the MediaFresh Awards, is a program designed to recognize leaders in innovation, creativity and the evolving digital media sector in Alberta.

The Digital Alberta Awards introduced categories to include companies that may not traditionally be considered in the realm of ‘digital media’, but have pioneered much advancement such as financial services and education.
